A major flux that the students faced while learning during pandemic COVID-19 was the socio-environment shift in their learning context. With classes being held fully online, it requires the students to immediately adjust to the changing social dynamics and interactions between their classmates and instructors. One of the major challenges in online teaching is to sustain student engagement and encourage their active participation while learning online. Therefore, this session will share about the use of online participation scoreboard as a teaching strategy for boosting active participation and classroom engagement during online classes. The underlying principle of this strategy is based on the classical behaviourist approach. This session will share about the implementation of this online participation scoreboard and its potential use for boosting online classroom engagement in a medium size class.
