PROF. DR. MUTA HARAH ZAKARIA

	Muta Harah Zakaria is a professor at the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She has 19 years of experience in teaching and research. She has 14 years of experience in academic administration and curriculum development. She has been an active contributor to developing academic programmes and curriculum at both the university and national levels. She is the chairman of the Committee Members and an editor for High-Impact Educational Practices (HIEPs): The Malaysian Higher Education Experience, Volumes 1 and 2. She is also the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) trainers for (a) Guidelines to Good Practice (GGP): Assessment of Students and Curriculum Development and Reviews and (b) Learning Outcomes in Curriculum Development and Reviews Modules 1 and 2. Her expertise in curriculum development spans beyond UPM, where she is consulted by other public and private universities. She also has worked extensively with the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in research projects related to her field of expertise, mainly in seagrass, seaweed, mangrove and freshwater plants. She is currently actively collaborating with the industry to monitor, transplant, and rehabilitate the seagrass ecosystem for biodiversity conservation and sustainability for marine organisms and traditional local fisheries.
