PROF. DR. ISMI ARIF ISMAIL

	Ismi Arif Ismail, is currently the Director at the Institute for Social Science Studies (IPSAS) and a Professor (Extension and Continuing Education) at the Department of Professional Development and Continuing Education, Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. A former school teacher, he was the former Deputy Director for Centre of Leadership in Teaching and Learning at the National Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Ministry of Higher Education overseeing the training of lecturers nationwide including the ministry’s National MOOC initiative back in 2014. He was a panel member reviewing Malaysia e-Learning Policy (DEPAN), and a former ex-officio member of MEIPTA (Majlis e-Learning IPTA Malaysia) and Malaysian Higher Education Teaching and Learning Council (MAGNETIC). He is also one of the principal researchers at the Innovative Learning Sciences Research Centre of Excellence (INNOVATE), Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM and teaches courses in leadership development, training design and management, program planning and continuing professional education as to name a few. He joined UPM in 2000 has been widely published, as author or co-author of books, book chapters, monographs, proceedings, and scores of scholarly papers, abstracts and related materials in areas such as continuing education, extension education, leadership, youth development and human resource development.
