The transfer of credit for MOOC recognizes the learning acquired by students while maintaining the authenticity of the applicant as an individual who has actually participated in the learning through MOOC and verifying that the applicant has indeed attained a certain level of competence as outlined by the MOOC course taken and is equivalent to the course for which transfer of credit is applied for.

UPM MOOC Credit Transfer Requirements

It must be applied and not automatically granted. A course is only allowed to transfer credit once for all levels of studies. Awarded to courses offered in an accredited academic program. For programs that involve accreditation by a professional body, the transfer of credit must be approved by relevant body. It is allowed in MOOC courses offered by any institution recognized by the UPM Senate. It will not be given for industrial training courses, final year projects, dissertations, theses, and practical and studio-based courses. At the postgraduate level, it is allowed for coursework-based master's programs. Given to the course applied and not automatically given for the prerequisites of that course. Only allowed for applicants who obtain a grade of C+ and above for undergraduate level, and B and above for postgraduate level from MOOC courses that provide a Certificate of Completion and a Certificate of Competency/Achievement. Not given for courses taken by the applicant and received a fail grade. MOOC cannot replace failed courses. Must be equal to the credit hours of the requested course. Transferring half credit for a course is not allowed. The limit of Credit Transfer MOOC must not exceed 30% of the total graduate credit hours. However, the maximum transfer limit of 60% is retained for a coalescence of academic eligibility and credit transfer. The approval of MOOC credit transfer is based on the alignment of the learning outcomes (CLOs) of the requested course, whether through one MOOC course or a combination of multiple MOOC courses scene of academic eligibility and credit transfer. Given to the course applied and not automatically given for the prerequisites of that course.
