Trainer:
Mixed methods research is an approach to inquiry that combines elements of qualitative and quantitative research methods within a single study or research program. It involves collecting, analyzing, and integrating both qualitative and quantitative data to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a research problem than would be possible with either method alone. Mixed methods research is characterized by its flexibility, allowing researchers to capitalize on the strengths of both qualitative and quantitative approaches while mitigating their respective weaknesses. Overall, mixed methods research offers a flexible and robust approach to inquiry that enables researchers to address complex research questions, capture diverse perspectives, and generate comprehensive insights that would not be possible with a single methodological approach.
